Herbal Healing

This blog is dedicated to herbal healing and other natural health remedies. In an attempt to deepen my own knowledge, I will share information on a variety of herbs, focusing largely on easy to find Western plants, as well as methods for preparing herbal medicines and natural beauty treatments. I am not a certified herbalist, licensed cosmetologist, or physician, so please use the information on this blog at your own risk! I've been an aspiring herbalist for several years, and I hope to finally get my certification sometime this year.

So pleased to have stumbled during searching. I had an acquaintance's regale me with a story of the her grandmother nursing her with an onion poultice. She had fallen, cracked open her kneecap, and with a round-the-clock eye, her grandmother and the handy-dandy onion poultice had themselves a nigh-brand spanking new knee cap on the girl. - My quest began to learn! Any fathom over the onion's property, though? So pleased to meet you. I'm Kate.

Thank you for sharing your tale!  It’s people like you who make this blog what is is and allow me to keep it running.  I know that onions are a folk remedy for many ailments, and one of my favorite herbalism sites gives an explanation as to why here.  To answer your inquiry from your other message, I have a list of my favorite herbalism books in this post - although it is desperately due for an update!  :)
