DIY Deodorant
Just because it doesn’t go in your mouth, doesn’t mean you aren’t ingesting it. No seriously. The skin is an ingesting organ. Whatever you slather on it eventually ends up in your blood stream and runs around your body, internally. What you roll, slide or spray over those pits should be made from pure goodness - that’s to say sans the nasty chemicals that have been linked...

I've suffered from menstrual problems from out-of-whack hormones since puberty, including a period that essentially didn't stop--I would bleed for months at a time. Thanks to you answering a question regarding breast size and estrogen production, I discovered black cohosh. Within 4 days of taking it, my period finally stopped. I've been taking...

One is that I learned everything I know about herbalism in Pennsylvania and I'm going to move to Florida in six months, and when I look at the ground there, I just don't recognize any of the plants. Facial steams
To perform a facial steam, bring 2 to 3 quarts of water to a boil in a large pot. Toss in a healthy handful of herbs, cover, and let simmer for a couple of minutes. Then remove the pot from the heat and place it on a heatproof surface at a level that will enable you to comfortably sit and place your face over the pot. Leaning over the pot, drape a large, thick towel over your head and the...

katelynninja asked: Hello again, dear friend! Dried herbs for cooking would suit if they would be all that we have? My family and I have just moved cross-country, and I haven't been able to get rosemary clippings from my uncle. I was considering a tea, possibly. Both my sister and I have a horrible cold and we've hardly anything but dried, basic cooking herbs on hand.

Today I bought some Uva Ursi supplements and I'm hoping they will do this trick. Am a too far into this though? Do you think I need antibiotics? I am worried about the possibility of a kidney infection. Thank you!

Specifically severe adrenal exhaustion, where stimulants like ginseng might be too much for the depleted adrenals that requie deep healing and support. Liqorice & withania, (also known as Ashwagandha) come highly recommended, but i'd like to hear your thoughts :).
